	Why Machining Instead of Molding?
●	Low volumes (including prototypes) are very often machined more cost-effectively versus molding
●	Some parts are difficult or even impossible to mold because of physical shape of the part (heavy walls, intricate undercuts with multiple angles, certain thread patterns, etc
●	Materials can be utilized in the machining process that are difficult or impractical to mold
●	High initial tooling costs required in the molding process (mold costs)
●	Machined parts can be produced with lower residual component stresses and more consistent properties throughout the produced part
●	Machining can provide closer tolerances
●	Design engineers have much more flexibility when designing parts
●	Design engineers can easily make changes during the design process by utilizing prototype and testing procedures
●	Machined parts can be produced faster with reduced turn-around times
●	No draft angles are required for machined parts
●	Machined parts will not have some of the undesirable attributes of molded parts (gate scars, weld lines, parting lines, ejector marks, flash or "skin" effects, etc.)
