Inside Sales Representative II Summary

This role is responsible for the day-to-day development and execution of the inside sales strategy at APG to drive revenue, and prospect for new customers. The candidate will utilize customer, product and industry specific knowledge to engage and grow the customer base while collaborating closely with marketing, product managers and the commercial sales team. The primary focus is growth of sales through targeting new business, cultivating relationships, assisting with application questions, and cross selling product opportunities.

Main Functional Responsibilities

  • Work in a territory of a defined geography.
  • Increase site sales volume on a consistent basis through existing customer base and new account acquisition.
  • Work to monthly KPI’s to achieve revenue and margin targets in your territory.
  • Secure business in your territory with an intent of building long term profitable relationships.
  • Heavy volume of inside & some outside sales solicitation
  • Minimum of 40 outbound calls on daily basis
  • Ensure cross selling and up selling of the product portfolio into the accounts.
  • Provide good account management through developing business relationships with key accounts and maintain regular customer contact.
  • The preparation and follow up of sales quotations to customers, prospects and leads.
  • Focus on CRM lead management, marketing messages, cold calling and partnering with and working along-side the commercial sales team.
  • Grow market share through both existing and new customers.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of current policies and procedures relating to the product range, pricing, order entry, lead times and customer responses.
  • Conduct monthly calls to lapsed accounts and the follow up of new prospects and leads.
  • Develop effective working relationships with other team members, internal departments and the wider organization.
  • Participate enthusiastically in team briefings and communicate with the sales team leader and other team members to contribute to the ongoing success of the team.
  • Provide “Hassle-Free Customer Service” to our internal and external customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements





  • Bachelor's degree Business, Marketing or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the field or in a related area.
