Why use aluminum over plated steel?

APG provides the most comprehesive line of alumnium sleeves and ferrules in the industry, leveraging exclusively, manufacuted seamless tubes. Some features include:

• Made from a non-sparking, seamless military grade aluminum alloy (6063-T6) material
• Typically, 3 times lighters than plated steel sleeves²
• Less corrosive and rust resistant than plated steel
• Aluminum crimp sleeves can be anodized and/or engraved³
• Ferrules provide a 360° attachment to provide maximum hose retention
